Following a comprehensive eye exam, we offer a private hour-long contact fitting session for first time contact lens wearers. The patient will learn how to put contacts in, take them out, and be taught the proper care of using contact lenses. A trial pair of lenses, contact solution, and a case are given to the patient for the fitting session. You’ll be able to schedule this session when you check out from the office after your child’s appointment.
The patient returns in 2 weeks after his or her initial fitting for another visit with the doctor just to make sure that the contacts are fitting properly and that the patient can see well. This service is particularly useful for children, teens, or other first time contact lens wearers who may be a little nervous at the thought of trying contacts.
In addition, you can also purchase a 3 month, 6 month, or one year* supply of contacts during your visit or over the phone. We offer many different brands to choose from and can hold them at the front desk for you to pickup at your leisure. Be sure to ask about a discount or rebate for purchasing a one year supply.
*Due to the changing nature of the eye, a full one year supply can only be ordered following an eye exam. If time has elapsed since your last appointment and you’d like to order a year supply, call our office to schedule a new eye exam to ensure that your prescription has not changed.
